Heat Exchangers for Food & Dairy Applications

Food and dairy exchangers need the hygienic rules written on the order. 'Food grade' without finish, fittings, and CIP intent is not a specification.

fooddairyhygienic

Dairy and food plants use heat exchangers for pasteurisation-related duties, hot-water sets, and process heating/cooling. Ohm also supplies other food & dairy process equipment. Hygienic design is provided when specified — clamp fittings, drainability, and finish are not assumed.

Write these on the RFQ

  • Product vs utility side.
  • CIP temperatures and fluids.
  • Required surface finish and fitting standard.
  • Whether 3-A or other hygienic standards apply.

Equipment beyond the exchanger

Many dairy lines also need evaporators, storage vessels, and CIP-related skids. Ohm lists food & dairy equipment and multi-effect evaporators as related product lines — specify whether the enquiry is heat transfer only or a packaged scope.

Drainability and inspection

Hygienic design means low-point drains, no dead legs in product-side channels, and inspection access that matches your cleaning procedure. If you require sight glasses, sample points, or specific ferrule standards, show them on the GA — we fabricate to the drawing.

Indian dairy and beverage projects

We supply food-sector equipment from Vadodara for Indian and export plants. Pasteurisation-related duties often pair a shell-and-tube or double-pipe unit with hot-water sets — quote both if they share delivery and MOC requirements.
